How does ThreeAnchor impact fundraising?
The lifeblood of political fundraising is content. Consistent, high-quality content fuels site visits, email sign-ups, user acquisition and donor retention. ThreeAnchor helps political organizations identify and convert more political donors by streamlining political content creation.
What is political search engine optimization (SEO)?
SEO is the practice of building, designing and maintaining web content to maximize search engine rankings. SEO is an established, measurable strategy for attracting and engaging audiences online.
ThreeAnchor provides built-in SEO tools designed exclusively for political advocacy organizations, including
- Search optimized staff profiles, policy information & press releases
- AMP validation (Google SEO best practice)
- Customized search metadata (Schema) for eight unique content classifications
- Third-party SEO verification, resources & guidance
What is AMP?
AMP is a Google-supported framework for building fast, search engine-friendly websites. ThreeAnchor is an AMP-compliant website framework.
Does AMP help with search engine rankings?
Yes. The SEO benefits of AMP are well-documented. For example, when publishing website news articles and press releases, Google offers two options for better search rankings
- AMP page with structured data [Recommended]
- Non-AMP web page with structured data
In addition, while many SEO investments present accountability challenges, AMP webpages can be certified and validated.
If every donor and Hill staffer has a computer, does a “mobile-centered” website matter?
With nearly 65% of email access, news consumption and search queries occurring on non-desktop platforms, mobile websites are increasingly the primary face of many political organizations. Regarding SEO, Google prioritizes the mobile version of a website for search indexing. Mobile website performance is also a search engine ranking factor.
ThreeAnchor is a mobile-centered framework. It prioritizes mobile page speed, mobile appearance and mobile functionality when considering device-specific options.

What’s the process to get started?
The process for launching a new account is simple and straightforward. It consists of two phases.
- Website design & development (Phase I)
- Customer service & support (Phase II)
How does the website development process work?
We try to keep the build process flexible yet focused. We’ll need feedback on certain design, style and layout decisions. We’ll also need help approving a sitemap and gathering some items for the launch, including
- Administrative details (social media information/user accounts)
- Written content (titles/paragraph text)
- Graphic content (team photos/thumbnails)
To better visualize information and messaging across your site, we also recommend placeholder titles and text for various content types (news releases, staff profiles, petitions, etc.)
What’s included in the service phase?
After your website launch, we provide ongoing technical support, site security, framework enhancements, search engine optimization, and customer support services.
Are there limits to creating and controlling content?
After completing the initial website development and launch, customers have control over petitions, press releases, policy factsheets, vote recommendations, staff profile pages and related content. You can also add, edit, remove and manage items from your media library.
Is it hard to use or learn?
No orientation process is required to use the framework. The dashboard is easy to manage and the content tools are simple and clear.
Can we launch our website or use the framework without some of the publishing tools?
Yes. If your organization has questions about some of the publishing features, that’s okay. The framework was designed to maximize flexibility. The content templates are optional and can be integrated at a later date.
How long will it take?
While timelines vary based on project specifications, client objectives and customizations, you can expect to launch your new website within six weeks.
Is there a waiting list?
Given the collaborative nature of web development work, our availability is limited. To confirm your project for spring of 2020, contact us today.
What about website traffic and analytics tools?
The framework provides built-in support for Google Analytics, the most widely-used analytics service on the web. Once configured, you can monitor site traffic and access detailed reports directly from your Google Analytics dashboard.
A 9-digit analytics tracking code is included on each page of your website to send and collect data to a Google Analytics account. You can preserve data and integrate reports from an existing Google Analytics account by providing an existing ID number during your onboarding process.
Do you provide website hosting?
Yes. ThreeAnchor is a “fully-managed” framework. We manage, monitor and host all client sites, which includes ongoing framework enhancements, performance improvements, and optimizations for search. All site configurations include premium hosting and an SSL certificate—a search engine ranking signal since 2014.
In some cases, we may recommend integrating third-party software or functionality on a free-standing basis.
What about website editors and authors?
Your account provides support for seven website users who can manage, modify and publish content directly from the interface.
Can we migrate to a different platform in the future?
Yes. If you choose to transfer your website or relocate to a different platform, your website content will be made available in database format for the migration.
Who controls our domain?
ThreeAnchor does not sell domains or manage domain renewals. If you need a domain, Google Domains, Namescheap, GoDaddy, Tucows are popular domain registrars worth exploring. To launch your new website, you will need to access your domain registrar account so you can “point” your domain to the correct address.
How do we transfer our existing site?
The website transfer process is organized and straightforward. We will walk-you-through the process and, depending on your existing web hosting environment and website configuration, provide recommendation to fit your needs.
Most importantly, the process is designed to minimize downtime and migrate to your ThreeAnchor account as quickly as possible. Migrations will relocate images, files, databases and related content, from your old hosting account to your new server.
What about social media integration?
The framework includes social media integration and other basic features, including: Facebook Integration (Organization, Individuals), Twitter Integration (Organization, Individuals), Staff Profile Page Information (Twitter, LinkedIn).
Can we accept donations?
Yes. As part of the onboarding process, we offer fundraising integration with various fundraising platforms
Can we keep our email marketing program?
Yes. The framework provides built-in support for email capture and email contact functionality. Email marketing platform integration is also available during the onboarding process. For questions about enhanced functionality, extensions or customized integrations, contact us.
